This is the motto with which the Association of Breast Surgeons in Bulgaria started its journey. Today it is becoming a real presence - the new website of the organization is now live, available at breastsurgeons.bg. It is the single official platform where specialists, patients and all interested will find navigation, information and a way to get in touch.
How it all started: the idea, the conference, the association
The idea for the Association was born in 2024, during the preparation of an ambitious undertaking - National Conference on Breast Surgery with International Participation (30.01-01.02.2025, Sofia). The forum brought together almost all invasive breast intervention specialists - surgeons, plastic surgeons, breast surgeons, gynecologists. It was attended by world-renowned authorities, more than 300 participants and intensive practical courses.
The conference laid a solid foundation for the unification of the profession. The building of a structure took place on 10 October 2025 in the town of. Varna, where the founding assembly was held. Co-founders are representatives from four hospitals in the capital, two from Varna, university structures from Plovdiv, Pleven, Stara Zagora, and KOCs from Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, Blagoevgrad, Ruse and Panagyurishte. The Association was registered in the Commercial Register on 18.11.2025.
Mission and values: why we exist
The main mission of the Association is to support the development of high quality, modern and personalized surgical care for patients with breast diseases in Bulgaria. This means uniform national standards, access to modern surgical techniques, international collaboration and active educational and scientific activities.
The organization brings together specialists from university hospitals, MMA, private hospitals and Comprehensive Cancer Centers from all over the country. Members are at different stages of their careers: from established professionals with serious experience to young ambitious doctors united by a common aspiration and a common goal: better care for the Bulgarian patient.

Training: the key to modern medicine
The Association actively supports the training of young and established professionals. Through the new website you will have access to information about upcoming courses and workshops, national and international conferences, webinars and practical demonstrations. Training covers key disciplines such as breast oncoplastic surgery, sentinel biopsy, minimally invasive techniques, reconstructive surgery and multidisciplinary approaches.
Become a member - join the community
Membership in the Association is open to all professionals involved in the diagnosis, surgical and comprehensive treatment of breast disease. In addition to regular members, the statutes also provide for honorary membership for specialists (Bulgarian and foreign) with a special contribution to the field, as well as associate membership for any interested specialists related to the diagnosis and treatment of breast.
