Summary
Oncoplastic surgery for the treatment of breast cancer is increasingly indicated today. It cures the disease while preserving the aesthetics and reduces the psychological distress of the patient.Postoperative complications compromise the final outcome and their incidence should be minimized, with prevention of factors associated with their development. Via PubMed A systematic review analyzes the most common implant complications in breast surgery, along with current strategies and technologies for their prevention and treatment. Choosing the tactically correct technique and preoperative and patient counseling enables informed decision making. A fundamental principle in the management of complications in implant-based reconstruction is aggressive operative management. Early intervention increases the chances of reconstructive salvage.
